Linda TahtThis marks my sixteenth year working with the wonderful Douglass community, and my twenty-third year of teaching. I grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (GO STEELERS!!) I moved to Boulder in 1992, and have settled in the comfortable community of Louisville. Prior to joining BVSD, I worked with second language learners in Denver Public Schools. During that time, I earned my National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification, and renewed in 2010. I earned a Master's degree at CU Boulder in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Math & Science. When I'm not in school, you can find me hanging out with my kids, hiking, camping, practicing yoga, or nestled up with a good book!

Tim SpearThis is my 34th year teaching and eighteenth working with the fantastic Douglass community. I’m convinced it is the best place to be, but I have been bitten by the travel bug! Prior to working here at Douglass, I taught overseas in Qatar, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia. I have 18 years experience in the classroom, fourth grade through 6th, 14 years in library, and I have also been an elementary counselor for a year. I love being outdoors and when I am not at school you will most likely find me in my yard, or searching for the next great read aloud book for my class.

Nancy ChiuWelcome to the Douglass community!
This is my 28th year of teaching , with the last 18 being at Douglass. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach as far east as Cambridge, MA to as far west as Lahaina, Maui! My career has allowed me to be involved in the lives of kids who have lived on houseboats to a one roomed school house outside of Boston. I received my B Ed. Degree from the University of Hawaii and continued to receive my MA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading. It is my pleasure to be a partner in the lives of your children’s learning and growth this year. Just a few of my “favorite things”: My family: My husband Harry, my son JC , and twin daughters, Jessie and Nicole. We are new empty nesters along with our sweet, miniature dachshund, Mimi. Favorite things to do: walk on the Boulder Creek, movies, taking early morning walks on my favorite beach in Kailua, HI Favorite foods: sushi, Thai, Italian and decadent ice cream |
